I am Rajakumar, an SAP FI/CO consultant with more than 17 years of SAP experience in big and small organizations. I hate to brag, but since the objective of this site is to sell my services, I have to share with you that I am one of the most exceptional SAP consultants consultants you willfind in this region. I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, my hometown. After working for a while as a SAP consultant, I thought it was time to sell my services on a larger scale than just being employed by one company. This is a key decision I made recently, since I believe most organizations are more receptive to hearing what external consultants have to say than their internal employees. As an external consultant, I also have the liberty to propose certain new ideas that I could not otherwise propose from within an organization.
Apart from being knowledgeable about the FI/CO module, I also possess some key skills required to push through reforms at a very high level. What I understand about my management clients is, any new proposals must clearly express the return on investment of the proposal; ; otherwise, it will not get the attention of the project steering committee for a go-ahead. The ROI mentioned here may not always mean monetary gains. Sometimes, it refers to non-monetary returns, which will indirectly support the monetary terms. Such differences must be clearly explained to the stakeholders so they can see the project viability in the same way.
Normally, before I propose anything, I consider the client’s organization as my own business, and ask myself whether I would consider this new proposal in my own organization. If the gut feeling is “yes,” then of course the proposal has potential to be considered by others as well, and it's just a matter of translating it into the client's own language to get it endorsed.
I believe the main factor for any project’s downfall is trusting the expert's opinion rather than the test results. We fail to realize the experts are also human beings, and give too much importance to their opinions instead of verifying them. This leads to major disasters later on, but it isoften be too late to reverse the effects of anydisasters by the time we realize the opinion is not the fact. Therefore, long before I have made an important decision in my career, I make sure to test anything before accepting an expert opinion. This has built a strong foundation for my career as a reliable consultant over time.
My SAP skills have expanded from knowledge of a single module into multiple cross module knowledge duringthe past few years. .Therefore, you can consider me as an ERP Solution Architect who can devise solutions across various other modules in SAP, without being short-sighted with the FI/CO module alone.
My work style has been commended as very professional by my clients, wherein you can expect replies on the same day, since I maintain the habit of replying to all of my emails on the same business day before I leave the office. After working with clients with different personalities and working styles, I concluded that, no matter where the client is from on the globe, all of them are just craving one common thing: Solution. As I know very well, clients never want the disappointment of hearing that it is not possible to deliver certain solutions they have requested; therefore, when I look for solutions, I make sure no stone is left unturned to reach the most optimum solution for any business requirements. At times, I am also willing to break some of the hardcore SAP rules to think beyond the SAP design box to achieve better solutions. This is very crucial to finding long-term solutions thatcan be sustainable for many years..
